Soft Focus
This effect gives the video a soft, hazy look.
Sliders
Blur - Controls the amount of blurring of the image.
Blend - Controls the amount blur that should be overlaid on the original image.
Usage
The Virtix Soft Focus blends the original image with a blurred version of the image to give a gauzy look. Virtix Soft Focus differs from iMovie's standard soft focus in that it retains a portion of the original sharp image, so that some blurring occurs without losing all the detail of the original image.
Soft focus has sometimes been achieved with gauze across the camera lens. At other times it has been achieved with petroleum jelly rubbed on the camera lens.
Soft focus is useful for removing imperfections in the skin when filming peoples faces. It is also useful for achieving a dreamlike look.
