Virtix releases Zoom effects for iMovie
Virtix announces a new package of professional-quality special
effects for iMovie.
SALEM, NH -- Virtix, Inc. announces the immediate availability of
Virtix Zoom for iMovie. Virtix Zoom contains 10 special effects
that allow the user to magnify or highlight a portion of a clip.
With Virtix Zoom, iMovie users can enlarge parts of an image or
crop out unwanted elements. Users can add slow moving zoom-ins
and zoom-outs to any shot, or they can opt for super-fast
"snap" zooms.
All Virtix zooming algorithms operate at 60 fields per second to
guarantee smooth motion. The High Quality zooms integrate motion
blur for the most realistic and least digital look possible, an
option that is unavailable in some high-end professional
packages. Virtix Zoom allows you to do things within iMovie that
previously needed to be done within the camera, allowing you to
be more creative.
The Zoom package contains Normal Zoom-In & Zoom-Out, High
Quality Zoom-In & Zoom-Out, Snap Zoom-In & Zoom-Out, a
Fixed Zoom, and a quick In-Out Zoom. Each Zoom effect allows the
user to pick an area on the image and a zoom factor from 1 to 10,
which means that the effect will also "pan" or move
sideways as it zooms in. Each Zoom effect has a numeric interface
so that zooms on split clips can be matched seamlessly.
Since zooming effects are often used in documentaries and
"reality TV", Virtix Zoom also includes the
complementary effects Spotlight and Witness Protection. The
Spotlight effect darkens the screen and leaves a bright circle
over an area to draw your attention. The Witness Protection
effect blurs all the pixels within a circle and obscures a
person's identity.
